“Rock Box”

McDonald's of Northeast Ohio partnered with the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame to help get more people through their doors. The result was our creation of a dinner box called the "Mickey D's Rock Box."  The concept brought together real life Cleveland area musicians and simply let them do their thing with the famous McD's "ba da ba ba ba" melody. Responsibilities included concepting everything from start to finish: the creation of the name "Rock Box," the logo, all box graphics, creating the TV spot and video assets, Facebook carousel ads, all social touch points, outdoor billboards, all restaurant and drive-thru translites and tray liners.  Partnership was key here -- all work had to be done in collaboration with the Rock Hall, who had a say in addition to McDonald's.

“Lunch”

In time with the beginning of baseball season, we enlisted the the top Indian to help promote McDonald’s special lunch sandwich offers. Shot on a tight schedule and budget, we were able to pull off making the visitor’s locker room look like the Indians locker room. And Terry Francona was hilarious to work with.

Drive-thru translite and menu board poster for McDonald's 59¢ Big Mac offer.  A simple concept based on a visual discovery: I looked at the coins it takes to make up 59¢ and found that if you stack them just right, they look like a Big Mac. Makes for an eye-catching visual, but also literally explains the offer.

 

“Big Stack”

We brought the visual discovery of the 59¢ stack of coins looking like a Big Mac to life in a TV spot as well.  A simple creation of the coin stack paired with a new musical take on the classic Big Mac jingle helped make this a fun but hard-working promotional spot for McDonald's.

 

“Wrapper Cheese”

McDonald’s wanted to create a TV spot with a shell that could hold multiple offers, most notably, the Egg McMuffin, Bacon, Egg and Cheese Biscuit and the classic Cheeseburger. Let’s just say we had a little fun with people’s obsessions over cheese. The elements below took the Wrapper Cheese concept even further.

The creation of these elements was driven by the timing of the 2016 Presidential election. We created a playful competition between two sides – "Wrapper Cheese" and "Bag Fries," and with the help of a landing page and McDonald's social media, we asked people to cast their ballots for their favorites. It got some fun interaction going among McDonald's customers and actually spiked sales of breakfast sandwiches and cheeseburgers during the period it ran.

“Coffee Ring”

For this TV spot promoting McDonald's FREE offer of their Premium Roast Coffee, we used stop-motion to help bring to life another way to say "free":  $0.
